The Commission on the General Conference met virtually April 17–18, 2026, addressing a wide range of planning matters for the 2028 General Conference taking place in May 2028.
Jun will lead worship planning and implementation for the global gathering of the denomination’s top policy-making body, which convenes in May 2028.
The Commission continues to work to ensure the safe and accessible participation of all delegates and attendees.
Regular updates will be made available here once the process starts.
As 2028 General Conference delegate elections take place in Regional Conferences in Africa, Europe, and the Philippines, the Office of the General Conference will process the information received from the Annual Conference Secretaries about the duly elected delegates in a timely manner. The process to submit the Certificate of Elections has been shared and communicated to the Annual Conference Secretaries.
Within 30 days of receiving the Certificate of Elections and all necessary documents from the Annual Conference Secretaries, the Office of the General Conference will promptly begin the visa letter communication process and will issue visa invitation letters for the duly elected delegates.
April 2026 - Full commission virtual meeting, updates issued on: travel and safety precautions, budget, shortened event timeframe, and worship director election
January 2026 - Logo revealed and files provided, worship leader recruitment
December 2025 - Delegate count info sent to resident bishops and annual conference secretaries
