Destination: Cincinnati, OH

Should your travels take you to the area, he offers up some of his favorite spots to check out in the Queen city in Ohio’s Hamilton County. He invites you to come and enjoy the vibrant downtown, lively nightlife scene and the myriad of museums and attractions that await visitors.

The city is home to three major sports teams: the MLB’s Cincinnati Reds, the NFL’s Cincinnati Bengals and MLS’s FC Cincinnati. There is also plenty of excitement to be had at Cincinnati Cyclones’ minor league ice hockey team matches.

Great American Ball Park, home to the Cincinnati Reds, is the place to visit if you love baseball. The sport has deep roots in Cincy. Baseball has been played along the banks of the Ohio River for more than 50 years, first at Riverfront Stadium in 1970 and at Great American Ball Park since 2003. The ballpark's construction helped revitalize the area along the river and is now a focal point of downtown Cincinnati.

Cincinnati Zoo is the place to visit with your family and friends that’s dedicated to inspiring visitors and saving species. It occupies a 75-acre site within the city limits and operates as a mass farm breeding facility. The zoo was designated a National Landmark in 1987 due to the significant architecture featured in the Elephant Reserve, Reptile House and Passenger Pigeon Memorial. While there, be sure to say hello to the world-famous hippo Fiona. Cincinnati Art Museum is a free place to have fun while viewing one of Ohio's largest collections of artworks. It houses over 67,000 pieces on permanent display. As one of the Midwest's most comprehensive collections it showcases creations from the past 6,000 years.

For foodies, Cincinnati is undoubtedly the place to be, with Skyline ChiliThe BonBonerieBurger FI, and Texas Roadhouse being among the local favorites.  

At The Sandbar, you can enjoy a nice cool craft beer while enjoying the views of the Four Seasons Marina. After you enjoy their dry-rubbed chicken wings, plan to stay and play at one of their seven volleyball courts or cornhole pads. If you visit at night, you can sit back and enjoy the tunes of local bands.

The Ark Encounter is a world-class presentation that brings the Bible's history vividly to life via an immersive experience. It is the most authentic full-size replica of Noah's Ark in the world. The replica was built to the dimensions specified in the Bible and features three decks of educational exhibits.

Do you enjoy rollercoasters and other thrill rides? Kings Island has been the Midwest's premier entertainment destination enjoyed by millions of families. The 364-acre amusement and water park is one of Cincinnati's must do activities. The best time to visit is during WinterFest in November to December when the park is transformed by holiday magic. Visitors are transported into eleven enchanting winter wonderlands where they are engulfed in the glow of more than five million lights.
