LET JOHN WESLEY STRANGELY WARM YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE
General Commission on Archives and History offers unique
Methodist-themed ornament

Madison, N.J. – Make sure your Christmas tree is strangely warmed with a John Wesley ornament! Perfect for clergy, lay leaders, professors, Methodist nerds or anyone who is proud to #BeUMC, these unique cloth ornaments created in the likeness of the founder of Methodism are now available for sale, with proceeds benefitting the General Commission on Archives and History's (GCAH) work to promote and preserve the stories of The United Methodist Church.

The ornaments, which measure 6 1/2" tall and feature details such as shoe buckles and a cross on the well-loved Bible, can be purchased for $20 each. To receive by Christmas (in the U.S.), please order by Dec. 15. An additional flat $10 shipping fee covers shipping for 1-5 ornaments; $15 shipping for more than five ornaments.

St. Nicolas, a small London-based team specializing in bespoke, handmade decorations, designed the John Wesley ornaments. St. Nicolas partners with a Christian charity in Thailand and India that employs women in rural areas who are skilled at hand sewing, giving these women an opportunity to work within their community rather than moving away to a larger city. St. Nicolas is a member of BAFTS (British Association of Fair Trade Suppliers) and supports the 10 Principles of Fair Trade, as set out by the World Fair Trade Organisation. Not only will owning the ornament beautifully adorn your tree and benefit The UMC's Ministry of Memory, but you'll also help women in underserved areas.

To purchase John Wesley ornaments, pay online securely at https://secure.myvanco.com/YQF5/home (please write "ornaments" in memo line and thank you for covering fees) or mail a check payable to GCAH to 36 Madison Ave., P.O. Box 127, Madison, N.J. 07940.

A limited number of ornaments are available, so now is the time to add a beloved John Wesley ornament to your personal collection or purchase as a gift for someone special.
