Creating a logo for your church, non-profit organization, ministry or other entity involves many decisions, namely: colors, layouts, fonts and symbols. Not to mention that you want to capture the essence of your brand in one iconic design.
It’s important to remember that when we look at something, we don’t read first.
Before anything else, we see shape, color, and if that’s enough to hold our attention, then we read. This means that the small but essential element in every brand picture is the logo. A good logo should be eye-catching, timeless and memorable.

1. Know your brand
A brand is the foundation of a company and how people perceive your company. The logo is the visual representation of the brand.
2. Keep it simple
Don’t try to squeeze too many elements into a logo design. Focus on one main image, shape or pattern. Remember: Less is more.

3. Color is important
Colors play a crucial role in determining a brand’s message. Don’t underestimate the feelings that certain colors evoke, and how they can make or break your brand’s image.
4. Choose the right font
A simple logo equals a memorable design. With the right typography, viewers should get the message at first glance.
5. Make it versatile
A great logo looks great big, small and in between. Make it versatile, able to be adapted to different functions or activities, so it can be used in a variety of marketing needs.
