The General Council on Religion and Race invites you to a prayer vigil for justice and hope.
The General Council on Religion and Race invites you to a prayer vigil for justice and hope.

Sponsored by: General Commission on Religion and Race, El Plan for Hispanic/Latine Ministry, General Board of Church and Society

As we honor the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., join us for a powerful prayer vigil to stand together in faith, justice, and hope. In the face of divisive anti-immigration policies and growing fear, we will lift up migrants and immigrants, proclaim God’s faithfulness, reclaim our sacred worth, confess our collective sins, and reframe the narrative from fear to belonging.

Through music, prayers, and voices from across the denomination, including from our Council of Bishops, this sacred gathering will call us to action, empowering us to embody the beloved community where all are valued and cherished.

Let’s unite in prayer to declare God’s justice, celebrate our diversity, and answer the call to love boldly and act courageously.

  • Lift up migrants and immigrants
  • Proclaim God's faithfulness
  • Reclaim our sacred worth
  • Confess our collective sins
  • Reframe the narrative
