Email #2 (3 weeks out)

Dear Church Leader,

In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul reminds us that God blesses each of us with unique spiritual gifts. None of us possesses all the gifts, but together, as a community, we reflect the fullness of God’s purpose. The church becomes whole when we work together as one, using our gifts to serve and uplift one another.

Human Relations Day Sunday invites us to take this mission beyond our walls—into our neighborhoods, communities, and even to those just outside our doors. Our collective generosity helps strengthen relationships and empowers ministries that transform lives.

With Human Relations Day just three weeks away, here are some ideas to help you prepare for this meaningful celebration:

  • Promote Online Giving: Encourage members to give online at donate.gcfa.org/hrd.
  • Pew Cards & Visitor Materials: Print and place Pew Cards in high-traffic areas or include them in visitor and new-member packets.
  • Worship Resources: Download the Call to Worship and use the Bulletin Insert or Bulletin Cover to emphasize the impact of giving during worship.
  • Engage Children, Youth and Adults: Share the resources specifically designed for each age level (children, youth and adults) to inspire generous and mission-minded hearts.
  • Social Media: Post the Social Media Graphics, Infographics and Videos on your platforms and encourage members to share them with their networks.
  • Pray Together: Lift up the ministries of Community Developers, United Methodist Voluntary Services, and programs that support at-risk teens.
  • Prepare to Give: Send your collected offerings to your annual conference treasurer.

Thank you for inspiring your congregation to support neighborhood ministries that create real and lasting change. Together, we can answer God’s call to serve and empower others.

In Christ,

Email Title: The importance of using our Spiritual Gifts

Subject Line: Strengthening Communities Through Our Spiritual Gifts

Pretext: Join us in celebrating Human Relations Day and supporting programs that transform communities through love and justice.

Dear Friends,

In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul reminds us of the spiritual gifts God gives each of us. While no one has all the gifts, together, we reflect God’s wholeness. The church thrives when we unite, sharing our gifts to serve others.

On Human Relations Day Sunday, we focus on strengthening communities—beyond our walls, across our neighborhoods, and even right outside our doors. Our gifts build relationships and draw communities closer together, empowering ministries that transform lives.

Let’s work together to share God’s love through our gifts. Thank you for your generosity and faithfulness.

Yours in Christ,

[Pastor’s Name]
