Memorandum Number 376
SUBJECT TO FINAL EDITING
Legality of Vote in the Philippines Central Conference
Digest
The Judicial Council in session November 8-11, 1973, considered the appeal coming from the College of Bishops of the Philippines Central Conference seeking a ruling on the conference vote on the affiliated autonomous church.
It is ordered that jurisdiction not be accepted for the reason that the petition does not raise any question involving the constitutionality, meaning, application or effect of any portion of the Discipline.
The requisite vote for approval of the recommendation to become an affiliated autonomous church is a parliamentary question to be determined by the Philippines Central Conference in adjourned session in accordance with its Rules of Order or Robert's Rules of Order. (Par. 630.5, 1972 Discipline; Philippines Central Conference Rule 37.)
