Dear Leaders,
We’re almost there! United Methodist Student Day is just around the corner, and your leadership has been key in preparing for this special celebration. This final email is your chance to create a sense of urgency and excitement.
Remind your congregation or group that their gifts on this day directly support students in our church family, helping them follow their calling without financial barriers. Share your enthusiasm and let them know how much their participation means.
Consider sharing a countdown on social media, making a quick video announcement, or giving a heartfelt reminder during worship or meetings. Let’s finish strong and make this a day to remember for our students.
Here are a few last-minute tips to make this week impactful:
- Raise awareness. Share impactful images and graphics to highlight United Methodist Student Day. Place the posters and pew cards in high traffic areas, use the prewritten content and social graphics in post this week.
- Share stories. Highlight a specific student who demonstrates the real-world impact of education and its personal significance to your church. This is a great opportunity to feature a current or graduated student sharing how the Church has positively influenced their life. Incorporate the resources designed to complement your worship service: call to worship, children’s bulletin and sermon, bulletin inserts and covers and even a sermon starter.
- Be inviting. Personally remind others about the opportunity to give this Sunday. Inform them there's an easy online option available at donate.gcfa.org/umsd if that works better for them.
- Celebrate! Build a sense of joy and unity around participating in supporting your students.
- Prepare to Give: Send your collected offerings to your annual conference treasurer.
Let’s make this Special Sunday a celebration to remember, reflecting the heart of Christ in all we do. Thank you for leading with passion and purpose!
In Christ,
