Peace with Justice Sunday Email #2

Dear Leaders,

Peace with Justice Sunday is just three weeks away! This is our opportunity to live out our faith by actively working for peace and justice in our communities and beyond. As United Methodists, we are called to love our enemies, seek justice, and serve as peacemakers in a world that longs for reconciliation. To truly transform the world, we must commit to collaboration among nations, advocate for peace over violence, and address the root causes of conflict with just and lasting solutions. Let’s come together to answer this call and make a meaningful impact!

This week’s email encourages reflection on how we can be peacemakers in our own communities. It’s also a great time to start reminding people about the special offering and how it supports vital ministries locally and globally.

Your passion for peace and justice can inspire others to take action. Encourage everyone to mark their calendars for Peace with Justice Sunday and begin considering how they can support this vital mission through prayer, advocacy, and giving.

Here are some tips to build momentum:

  • Use visuals. Share a story about someone who has worked for peace and justice. Utilize the promotional resources like posters, infographics, social graphics, and videos to spread the word.
  • Engage creatively. Encourage small groups or Bible studies to discuss what it means to seek justice.
  • Highlight local initiatives: Connect with your conference Peace with Justice Coordinator to learn about local initiatives making an impact in your community. Consider inviting them to speak at your church to inspire and educate your congregation on how they can be part of this important work.
  • Invite participation. Ask others to start praying and thinking about how they can give. Pew cards are an excellent tool for promoting Peace with Justice Sunday and providing giving options.

Let’s continue to build excitement—thank you for all you’re doing!

In Christ,

Title: How Can You Be a Peacemaker?

Subject Line: Let’s Inspire Action for Peace with Justice!

Pretext: Your generosity on Peace with Justice Sunday helps build a world of fairness and reconciliation.

Email Body:

Dear [Church Family/Small Group],

Jesus calls us to be peacemakers—to love our enemies, seek justice, and work toward reconciliation. But how do we live that out in a world full of conflict?

Peace with Justice Sunday is a time for us to put our faith into action. Through our gifts, we support ministries that advocate for peace, justice, and healing in communities near and far. Last year, United Methodists gave generously to support life-changing programs, and this year, we can do even more.

On [Peace with Justice Sunday date], I invite you to prayerfully consider giving to this special offering. Every contribution helps support programs that make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Together, we can build a world that reflects God’s love and justice. Join us in celebrating this impactful Sunday together!

Grace and peace,
