Review of Bishop's Decision of Law Concerning Question of Conflict Between "New Mission Statement" and Established Standards of Doctrine.

This question arose when a request for an episcopal ruling on whether a proposed petition to General Conference contained a statement which would violate established standards and rules of doctrine was made in the Virginia Conference. The Judicial Council is authorized under ¶ 2612 to review decisions of law made during Annual Conference sessions. This is not a decision of law. The decision made by the bishop is his opinion on a proposed mission statement.
We do not take jurisdiction in the case.
