Status and Role of Women
The General Commission on the Status and Role of Women advocates for full participation of women in the total life of The United Methodist Church. We’re helping the church recognize every person – clergy and lay, women and men, adults and children - as full and equal parts of God’s human family. We believe that a fully engaged and empowered membership is vital to The United Methodist Church’s mission "to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world."

I think about who hears complaints and what they do with them. And I think often about processes for addressing complaints.

I watched Doug Wilson, cofounder of the Communion of Reformed Evangelical Churches (CREC), explain his views on women and the world. Shocked, I sent the video to my husband and asked, “Is this real?”

Inspired by The Integrity Project at Emory University, this curriculum was developed to encourage living in right relationship with self and others within the faith communities of our local United Methodist ministries. Participant Guide Leader Guide
